Red Ginger Asian Cuisine in Vancouver

Expensive, small portions and a disappointing meal. It was a pickup during Covid-19 - perhaps it doesn't travel well. The spring rolls were cocktail-sized, the sweet-and-sour pork was a handful of oily, hard pellets, and the "sauce" was two cheap, 2ml-size plastic sachets. The beef satay was more substantial.

First time ordering tonight and probably the last. No flavor, soups were gross. Potstickers were good. Delivery driver and staff very nice though.

This is a friendly and very very mediocre establishment. The food they serve is what you would expect in a mom and pop lower end eatery. in other words it is Western style chinese food. not at all authentic. The steamed pork buns came with a bright pink viscuous sauce that was a puzzle to us. We had hope for a ginger infused soy sauce as a side. The war wonton soup was ok but the broth was once again mediocre. The are far better options around. This was my second time here and I returned to give them a second chance. I dont think Ill be returning.

This is the best Chinese food restaurant in West Van. Bar none. Great service. We love their food and have take out regularly. Thankyou for your awesome food and friendly service.

The food is very good. I came with my vegetarian friend, and he ordered vegetable fried rice, no egg, along with spicy fried tofu. I went with chicken fried rice and lemon chicken. The food is very well done in traditional Chinese style. Service was very good also. The price was about 10% higher than what it should be, in my opinion, considering nearby available options.

Nice quiet shop serving fine North Chinese dishes in West Vancouver Marine drive.

I have never eaten in the restaurant but this is the best and most fresh tasting Chinese food I have had in a long time especially on this side the bridge. I pay for delivery to north van and it's always fast and worth it. I find it more expensive than other places but the quality is worth the price. Very happy with this place. Nowhere else on the north shore compares for sure!

One of the most outstanding service i have and great food. But they had my straw upside down in my drink so I have to give them 4 stars.

Highly recommend this restaurant. We just had a fantastic meal for two. We ordered Mushroom Chicken, Prawn Stir Fry and Jasmine Rice. Very well presented and tasty! The staff are friendly and service is quick. We brought home enough for another meal for two - and a pear and apple, both made of mousse. Can't wait to try them tomorrow.

We've had decent food here before ( and were happy to return ) but this evening's fare was awful beyond description. We started with mu shu pork that was tasty and hot. We even requested more crepes to finish it off. Then things went downhill. The lemon chicken was 2 chunks of thin chicken hidden in a greasy batter 2 inches thick, looking more like fish 'n chips without the chips. Beef & vegetable chow mien was covered in a gelatinous, dark brown corn-starch filled 'sauce' that tasted like chalk.As our barely touched dishes were removed from the table, no one bothered to ask if there was a problem, how was the food, etc. I felt complaining would be a wasted effort and by then my appetite had evaporated.A bill for the miserable lot was quickly presented to me by the owner with nary a word of interest or curiosity. Perhaps we made bad choices or had bad luck but I won't be back.

Not impressed. Has gone down hill since the last time I ordered. Ginger beef was burnt, duck didn't taste fresh, rice was greasy. Won ton soup was the only thing that was decent and it was decent not great.

Overall average Chinese restaurant with reasonable price, but they make delicious fish.

We ordered 4 dishes. Arrived cold even though we live 5 minutes from restaurant. 2 of the dishes we uneatable. The spicey green beans we so tough you couldn't chew them. The lemon chicken was hard tack. Was not expecting gourmet take out ,but eatable would have been nice. Don't waste your money!

Good option for classic Chinese food on the North Shore

Only nice thing - staff was super nice. So I feel bad about this review .... but low reviews are correct...NO flavor, spring rolls taste like they’re frozen and from a box, lemon chicken was terrible. Basically no chicken, all batter, didn’t even taste like lemon. Crispy chow mein has no flavor in the sauce. Sucks that delivery in the neighborhood is slim pickings but DO NOT eat here. I just threw $50 worth of delivery in the garbage.

Fast and delicious

The food was delicious and came out quickly. The service was great. They easily made space for my 90 year old grandma in a wheel chair and my 2 kids. I would go back and recommend it.

So we tried this place for take out tonight and wow were we impressed! Great food, cooked right! Thank you for an excellent meal.

First choice for Cantonese food on the north shore. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. They have tried to modified some dishes to satisfy locals and there desserts are worth trying. The space in the restaurant is limited , but you can always call them for delivery.

One of my favourite spots in the lower mainland. Consistently good time after time.

really expensive for the portions , another bowl of rice is like $3 and the rice doesnt match the price , the food is ok nothing really wrong with it , more styled to favor westerner thoughtoo expensive for me

Best Chinese Food in West Vancouver. Although ownership changed, it's the same great food & recipes. My faves are General Tao chicken, Beef & Broccoli, Sole with snow peas. Hope their dining room opens again soon.

One of my favourite Chinese’s restaurants. At first I did think the food here was over priced but the protein sizes are unbelievable. I went with my family of 5 and we ordered bbq pork and shrimp fried rice, Veggie spring rolls, ginger beef, lettuce wrap, and crispy chicken chow mien. Flavour of food was incredible and service was at its best. My family and I come here pretty often now.

China's food good

Great food at a reasonable price. The tea is good and it comes complimentary with a meal. Food portion was a bit small but is quite filling.
